Posey a Grizzley? Interesting... posted on 07/15/2009

Hi there, and welcome to the first entry in my blog. I don't have a paticularly steady internet connection in my house currently, so the posts on here might be a bit sporadic at times, so my apologies in advance for that. Hopefully, I can keep you hooked so that you'll put up with this until I get a new internet provider. With that out of the way, let's move on to the actual baseball discussion, which is why we are all here.

I watched the All-Star game today, had a good time seeing Lincecum pitch against the American League, even though he struggled. I've noticed that Lincecum tends to overthrow in "big" games, which leads to him leaving the ball up and pitching well below his capability. For examples of this, look at: His first big league start, Opening day this year, and now, today. There is no need for concern about this, just something I noticed. The All-Star game is a source of frustration for me, because it's a good concept screwed up by a terrible commissioner. I could write multiple blogs about ways to fix the All-Star game or reasons why I hate Bud Selig, but this is a Giants blog, and I will try to discuss strictly Giants issues here. Case in point: more interesting than the All-Star game for me today was the news that Buster Posey was called up to Fresno.
