Good news continues for Giants and Lincecum

Anyone who has followed the rise of the Giants Tim Lincecum knows why they call him the 'Franchise.'  Another strong performance against the Arizona Diamondbacks , his second of the week, gave him his first win and lifted him into second place in National League strikeouts, at 35, just two behind the Mets' Johann Santana.  The Giants' pitching staff, which has been considered their strong point, has given up just three runs in their last 5 games, going 4-1 in that stretch.  Ironically, the only loss came in Lincecum's 13 K performance against these same Diamondbacks on Saturday, April 18th at ATT Park.  Even the much maligned Barry Zito came away with a good performance, though he did not get a win.  The Giants have scored just 51 runs, while giving up 59.  Ouch...Randy Johnson, the Big Unit, will face the team that released him at the end of last year and though he has downplayed it, ex-pitcher Mike Krukow has said there is a special fire against the team that released you...Bengie Moilina continues to show why they call him 'Big Money."  After knocking in the winning run in the 10th inning on Wednesday, he had a three-RBI night, which could have been four if not for a baserunning mistake by Fred LewisMolina is 10th in the league with 13 ribbies in 15 games.  The problem though is the next on the list is Travis Ishikawa is next, team wise, with 7, which ties him for 61st, and three of those came on Opening Day, nearly two weeks ago...Giants have two more in the desert, then back home for three against the dreaded Dodgers, who have a lot of fans up north.  (All those new caps show that these fans are bandwagon jumpers)...Good readin', good rootin' and see ya at the ballpark!   April 25th
