Four in a Row! Break up the Giants!

4th Straight for Giants over Nationals...Four days and nights in hot, sweltering Washington DC, proved an elixir for the Giants, as they posted their fourth straight win over the Nationals.  They had previously won three in a row on three occasions, but this was their first streak of four...Matt Cain threw six innings Monday evening, BARRY ZITO went five on Sunday.  He left behind by one run, but the team picked him up as he won his second game of the year....Ray Durham-one of the old guys, continued his hot hitting, with four hits on Sunday and a couple more tonite.  His average is over .300 for the first time this season...John Bowker smacked a grand slam on Saturday, hit a two run sot on Sunday...Randy Winn continued his hot hitting to keep his average over .300...Now what I really think: Getting Randy Winn for Jesse Foppert a few years back years, may  be the best trade the Giants have ever made.  Foppert washed out in Seattle, but is now trying to work his way back up to San Francisco as a reliever.  Giants got the best end of that bargain.  Winn has been a steady outfielder for all the time he has been here.  Though primarily a centerfielder, he goes where is needed and performs well.  In my estimation, having been a centerfielder, makes you better at the corner spots.  And that, my readers is RANDY WINN...On to Colorado for three games starting tomorrow evening and then home to cross-bay rival Oakland A's over the weekend.  (They are playing well.)  Good rootin' and good reading!!!!!   June 9th, 2008
