Giants win a series!!!

Giants took a three game series against the Colorado Rockies 2-1...  All three games were one-run affairs, games which the Giants had not excelled at this year...Tim Lincecum stopped the the Rockies on Tuesday evening.  He left the game after the 6th inning leading 6-3.  Brian Wilson coming off a stretch of poor performances, gave up a two run homer, making it 6-5 and then struck out the Rockies' final batter...The save tied him for most in the league, at 13, but he sure is scary...He seems to thrive on the nail biting, pressure situation...As I said last week, Rod Beck was exactly the same before he established himself as the league's premiere reliever in the late 90's and early 2000's...A rare day game on Wednesday had the Giants going into the 9th trailing 2-0...Lo and behold they came back with three runs and gave Tyler 'The Bull' Walker the win.  He too had been plagued by poor performances of late...Ray Durham scored the go ahead/winning run after leading off the inning with a single...Wilson again made it interesting, but ended up striking out the Rockies' batter to win the game...It is the feeling of Manager Bruce Bochy that when a piticher is on the skids, to get him right back on the hill to regain a level of self confidence...Giants onto Florida for three, Friday through Sunday, then division leading Arizona on the 27th-29th in Phoenix...Rookie Travis Denker was recalled from Fresno, while speedster Eugenio Velez was sent down to work on some of his problems.  He will be back for the end of the season...Giants now back in third place over Rockies, with a winning percentage of .396 to .382...Good reading and rooting.  May 21, 2008
