2 days of 3-2 scores!

3-2 and 3-2...Giants ended splitting two games that both ended with the identical scores of 3-2.  The Tuesday night game was the weird one, as the Colorado Rockies scored the winning run on a balk called by home plate umpire Gary Darling.  The video and audio showed that he had called 'timeout' as requested by catcher Bengie MolinaManager Bruce Bochy argued and was tossed out of the game.  (Rule: A balk call cannot be argued.) Curiously, Colorado Mamager Clint Hurdle had been tossed the previous evening by Darling for arguing a balk call at first base.  (Darling was a third base in Wednesday's game and when Bochyargued a call, many thought it would be an early exit again.)...Lincecum is mortal.  Yes, 23 year old Tim Lincecum is mortal.  He was not his usual sharp self, and left the game while striking out just 4.  Before the evening, he was near the top of the league in strikeouts.  So he is now 4-1, with he ERA 'soaring' into the 1.70s.  Not bad for a guy who just two years ago this time was thinking about a string of college finals in his near future...Freddie Lewisstifled the Rockies attempts to win the game with an inning ending off the turf grab in short right field.  With two outs and runners on second and third, they were off with the smack.  From my standpoint, it didn't look like he was going to grab it, but he fooled me.  He ends the month with a solid .330 batting average for the month with a couple of homers.  Seems like he is on base at least twice per game...After a horrendous 1-6 start, the Giants ended the month with a 13-16 record.  They played at a .5454 clip after that first seven games.  There is a silver lining to every cloud...Jonathan Sanchezhad an atypical rough outing.  After the 1st & 2nd innings, he was having trouble findsing the plate...Aaron Rowandand Jose Castillohad solo homers each, the latter providing the winning cushion...Next up, the Phillies in the City of Brotherly Love Friday, Saturday, Sunday...April 30, 2008
