Matt Vitale's San Francisco Giants Fan Profile
Who am I?
Hello!
My name is Matt and I am from the ever changing climate hole of the central valley. You guy can call me Shmouk. Don't ask where the name came from but it has stuck with me ever since I was in junior high. I am 25 years old and I love sports. I am a bay area guy: Giants, 49ers, Warriors. I love the sport of baseball and football more than the rest. I follow basketball, but not to the extent that I do baseball and football. I also like a little hockey. I played it a lot growing up and I really like the "Mighty Ducks" movies, so I do tend to favor the Ducks (I guess it just stuck with me). I am also a musician who plays in a band called IndoSurf that currently travels up and down California. Trust me, I have been in many cities and have made it to plenty of games in all various sports. I don't really watch too many college sports but I do watch a great amount of Sports Center and ESPN, so I know a lot about what is going on. I am bias to the Fresno St. Bulldogs for obvious reasons. :)
I listen to a crazy amount of sports radio, so I have a knowledge for sports.

Impressive youngster showing his power: Giants first win of spring training posted on 02/26/2009
In a 10-7 win over the Cleveland Indians, the Giants had a lot to show for in the first game of spring training. Let me emphasis that this is only spring training. I am not getting over excite BUT it is entertaining to watch these young kids play. Travis Ishikawa went 3-for-3 with 2 home runs, a single, and 4 RBIs. I was listening to the game on XM radio and it was being broadcasted by the Indian's commentators. The sound of their voices when Travis hit both of his homeruns was like it was a regular season game. They sounded amazed and impressed by how much power came out of his bat. I remember seeing this kid come up briefly in 2007 and though he looked like he had potential, I thought he would just be another waste of time. I saw a kid who
