I think the wisest choice of the Giants at this point is to resign Pedro Feliz and let new hitting coach Carney Lansford work with him. However, I realize he may end up finding the 3 year contact he seeks and go elsewhere. So barring a trade, I decided to make a small list of possible free agants and talk a bit about them.
Morgan Ensberg- He is unfortunatly the biggest name left on an extremely thin list. Ensberg top power year came in 2005 while batting in hitter friendly Houston. That praticular year he did hit 35 bombs and bat .283. He has not been the same since and was cut by Houston last year when they aquired Ty Wiggington. All of last year had only 12 bombs for Houston and San Diego.
Dallas McPherson- Once a top porspect for the Angels. Mcpherson had back surgery early last year and missed most of the season and playing only 40 games. He did hit 7 home runs and batted .261. However, with the Angels giving up on McPherson, you do have to wonder about his health. Although, on 27 years old and still with major upside, I think McPherson could be a good gamble at 1 year contact with 2nd year option for the Giants
